"Energies, senses, and impressions. Currently I work with organic forms and search for their essences. I want to create doors to see and meditate on natural life and primitive cores in a world of change. Inspiration was born from time spent throughout Mexico, in the Lacandone Rainforest and continues with the flora and fauna of the Bay area."

"While working with elder artists I have been equally inspired. Not just from watching them blossom in the act of learning and creating, but by appreciating images on new levels, and discovering details with unusual points of view. Their oftentimes unique forms of expression have opened me up to communicate in an even more intrinsic way, even if just through the movement of the brush. Since AWE, I have also been considering the healing and reflective qualities of paintings more, during the process of creation and in viewing."

"In general, my paintings are instinctual. I create images, spaces and ideas, with forms, symbols, marks, prints, stains and collage techniques. Taking a holistic approach I try to bring focus to a shifting integration of parts."
