The Assignment: Create a promotional identity that will establish a strong visual identity. An identity that will unite a variety of promotional elements such as in-store posters and banners and newspaper advertising. The Solution: A review of store environments made it clear that any design approach would have to be very attention getting. All of our initial design concepts emphasized high impact color schemes, bold images and simple compositions. The Hawaiian Days logo/logotype supports the theme and unites the various posters and newspaper ad slicks. The Application: The promotional ID was applied to a large central/horizontal banner, five "wire hanger" posters and a newspaper ad slick which gave retailers the ability to create variations on the Hawaiian Days theme. |
