Project Summary
The KKSF web site re-design began with a careful review of most U.S. smooth jazz web sites, as well as all of the radio station web sites in their immediate marketplace. With this review and analysis process, we were able to determine a design style that would 1. project KKSF's unique personality to its listening audience, and 2. differentiate KKSF from the competition. The cornerstone of the design concept was to tie the look and feel of the site - to the station's media campaign; thus extending the station's brand and giving the KKSF listener audience an online environment that they would be familiar with. KKSF selected and supplied all of the artist photos and copy.
The styling of the KKSF site is crisp, elegant, distinctive and memorable. The strong design style makes it easy to integrate additional site features and user enhancements without losing any of the station's visual identity. We provide KKSF with on-going graphics and new feature development as well as art direction to insure visual consistency.
Additional services rendered in this project were the complete overhaul of their co-located server (which was prone to server crashes), and the implimentation of a new in-house site editing tool. We chose Dreamweaver and provided the client with some hands on set up and instruction which enabled them to do regular site updates in-house.
