When the KKSF CD Sampler for AIDS Relief project was "born" a decade ago, the AIDS pandemic was top of mind as a true social crisis in America. Today, while progress has been made, people increasingly seem to think that the crisis is nearly over, which - tragically - couldn't be farther from the truth. The disease continues to impact the daily lives of AIDS sufferers, their families, their friends and the community at large. This is the reason why, at KKSF, we're doing our best to help by continuing to release our acclaimed CD Samplers for AIDS Relief. Every CD Sampler you purchase helps make a difference.
Big thanks to the 211 KKSF listeners who submitted art and design ideas for the Sampler 10 cover design competition. Congratulations to Rod Pasibe whose saxophone images were chosen (after much difficult deliberation) to grace the final CD package.
As we approach the millennium, we have exceeded 3 million dollars to benefit the San Francisco Aids Foundation..
Sampler 11 includes more than 60 minutes of music, including 15 songs from these great artists.
