Due to a corporate re-structuring, our original site has been reformatted - inhouse - to fit into a standardized corporate "template" used for all stations.
Project Summary
KMEL's highly colorful site design achieved several key marketing objectives as it reinforced the station's brand identity in the marketplace and related to its target audience on a personal level. File size management made it possible to display an abundance of graphics while maintaining site performance. Comprehensive station and programming information complimented by interesting, useful, and constantly changing content, related to local events, activities, contests, and promotions. Viewers could check out movie listings, buy cds online, listen to exclusive artist interviews, vote on 5 new music tracks each week and listen to KMEL live on the web. Each year we created an elaborate All Star Jam Concert mini-website within the site, and with an interface page that connected listeners to the live concert netcast. We maintained and developed this exciting website on a daily basis, over a 5 year period, working closely with key staff members in various departments.
