Destiny's Child

[ COLUMBIA ] A year has passed since Destiny's Child was at the 1998 KMEL All Star Jam, and they have been doing a lot in that time. "No, No, No" has progressed to "Bills, Bills, Bills" and members Beyonce, Kelly, LaTavia, and LeToya have been working on a new album and a new sound. The Writing's on the Wall is described by the quartet as being a concept album, the concept being relationships. They attempt to look about everything within the relationship, not just the romantic aspect. The first single, "Bills, Bills, Bills" was co-written and produced by Kevin "She'kspere" Briggs, who masterminded TLC's "No Scrubs" as well. The 4 girls are from Houston, Texas, and their average age is 18. On a recent tour in Europe, they had 18 shows in 17 days, and were regarded as superstars thanks to their Timbaland-produced hit, "Get On The Bus." They also made their acting debut in the Warner Bros. "Smart Guy" sitcom, which was one of the highest rated episodes in the show's history. Destiny's Child is determined to keep moving forward in the world of music and make an impression on R&B that will be remembered for a long time.
