Our original site was re-designed after two years when a local design group offered to do the entire job for free.
Project Summary
Our original web site re-design for STAR 98.7 FM achieved several key marketing objectives. We strengthed STAR's brand recognition and market position, and projected STAR's unique personality as the market leader "Modern Adult Contemporary" music.
The STAR site features a very rich graphic appearance that makes use of a number of well placed gif animations. The site is also very easy to navigate with a complete site directory at the foot of each section with a link to the main directory at the top of each page. The "blinking eye" directory link itself, is a curiosity which eventually gets everyones attention.
Working with a very tight budget, we were still able to keep this site fresh with many daily and weekly content updates including sponsor promotions and major events such as the Hootie & The Blowfish netcast. As with our other radio station sites, gif animations played an important role in creating added visual interest while keeping the cost down. Several of the animations created by our associates at DXM and Electralux, were very unique and tricky to achieve.
