This first piece in the series, defied all previous planning and took its own course. Frustrated at first, I began to play with the materials - discovering in the process - the wonderful relationship between the richly textured patinas on the kiln fired copper panels and the block of opalescent glass tiles. Adding surface dimension and interest are a row of five half circles and several found objects. Three sides of the piece are framed in select strips of knotty pine with wonderful markings, while copper panels wrap around the right side.
