Of all the new work, this remains my favorite.
Here is the most amazing and rich group of glass tiles I have ever seen. Overall, the interplay of patinas, textures and
muted colors, is captivating. The block of glass tiles and the heavily patinad copper panels are
supported by a great panel of found metal. This was part of a huge fallen gate, lying in the dirt in a salvage yard.
It may have taken more than 50 years for this metal to develop its unique surface characteristics. A
workman was torching giant steel bins nearby and I paid him $20 to torch a portion of the huge gate for me and threw
it into the back seat of my VW Bug. The metal wraps around the bottom and the other three sides are fine textured knotty
pine with unsuual markings.
