This portrait of Angwin St. Just was based on the Max Luscher color theory. With a knowledge of the subject, I selected colors and in amounts that spoke to her personality as I had come to know it. I also went a step further and designated shapes which also represented various personality characteristics. I was quite surprised by the powerful emotional response that I experienced as I painted her abstract portrait. My emotions validated - both - my assumptions about her persoality and the choices of color and shapes as an abstract language.
