The Rave Project was created in the fall of 1992 with the goal of preserving a comprehensive and professional visual record of U.S. "Rave" flyer art and design. The San Francisco Underground Music Archive was named in 2005 and developed in parallel to the Rave flyer archive. This website is a private "Not For Profit" enterprise and is devoted to all who have an interest in flyers, the artists/designers, the history of the culture, the dj's, and its many unique and evolving musical styles. After 14 years of work and over two thousand hours, the collection represented on this website is yours to enjoy as a visual resource and to use for personal purposes. *( images may not be used to be displayed on other websites without permission, and no part of the content of this site may be used for commercial purposes. ) While only a small fraction of the collection is currently represented, the site will be expanded as time permits.
